About the event

SilverBackTrails Goathland V  Trig Challenge Ultra, a bimble across 't' moors for runners & walkers.

Starting and finishing from the Village Hall in the beautiful setting of Goathland, in The North York Moors National Park, the fictional village of Aidensfield in the popular Police drama Heartbeat which was filmed there for many years.

Runners or walkers will navigate themselves around a course of circa 37 miles visiting five listed structures otherwise known as Triangulation Pillars.  The route is one of your own choosing as long as public rights of way are used. The CP and pillar locations will be sent out to participants prior to the event so that some route planning can be done. One of the CP locations will not however be revealed until you are on the course at one of the checkpoints. This checkpoint, once you have plotted it and reached it will have a surprise…
