About the event
SilverBack Trails Lamplighter 40 mile night trail run.
Starting and finishing at Goathland Village Hall you will run in a circular route over the North York Moors.
The event start and finish times will be dictated by the setting and rising of the sun on 20/21 June 2026 . So, it will be a true run through the night, dusk till dawn.
Entrants will register and collect numbers etc an hour before last light , the event will begin when the Lamplighter appears and lights the lamp outside the village hall gate...
It will be up to you to be ready to go, when the Lamplighter weaves their magic it will be time for you to "trot on".
You will then have until the sun lightens the horizon and the Lamplighter returns to extinguish the village lamps.
