Sunset to Sunrise run of circa 40 miles in a circular route over the beautiful North York Moors National Park. Starting and finishing in the village of Goathland, where the 60s Police drama Heartbeat and scenes from Harry Potter were filmed.

About the event
SilverBack Trails Lamplighter 40 mile sunset to sunrise trail run.
Starting and finishing at Goathland Village Hall you will run in a circular route over the North York Moors.
The Lamplighter 40 runs alongside its shorter sibling Lamplighter 20.
The event start and finish times will be dictated by the setting and rising of the sun on 19/20 June 2027 . So, it will be a true run through the night, dusk till dawn.
Entrants will register and collect numbers etc an hour before last light , the event will begin when the Lamplighter appears and lights the lamp outside the village hall gate...
It will be up to you to be ready to go, when the Lamplighter weaves their magic it will be time for you to "trot on into the sunset"
