Lilla's Revenge is back for a second outing... on the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors presented by SilverBackTrails 

Lilla’s Revenge……

This is a 10-mile trail running event along part of the iconic Lykewake Walk long-distance FP visiting Lilla Howe which is home to the oldest cross on the Moors, Lilla Cross. Dating back to the 7th century it commemorates the death of Lilla a thane to Edwin King of Northumbria,  who sacrificed himself to save his Lord from an assassin.

You will also visit Louvern Howe which is believed to be a Neolithic/Bronze Age long barrow burial site.

Then it’s a long gentle run back down to Jugger Beck before the climb up onto Jugger Moor once again. Throughout the route, you will be blessed with views stretching out to the coast at Whitby onto Ravenscar, Scarborough Castle, and the Wolds all the way round towards Blakey Ridge right to the coast…
