Lilla's Revenge is back for another outing... on the beautiful North York Moors presented by SilverBackTrails
Lilla’s Revenge…… is a 10-mile trail running event along part of the iconic Lykewake Walk long-distance FP visiting Lilla Howe which is home to the oldest cross on the Moors, Lilla Cross. Dating back to the 7th century it commemorates the death of Lilla a thane to Edwin King of Northumbria,  who sacrificed himself to save his Edwin from an assassin.
You will also visit Louvern Howe which is believed to be a Neolithic/Bronze Age long barrow burial site.
Then it’s a long gentle run back down to Jugger Beck before the climb up onto Jugger Moor . Throughout the route, you will be blessed with views stretching out to the coast at Whitby onto Ravenscar, Scarborough Castle ,the Wolds all the way around towards Blakey Ridge right to the coast off of East Cleveland.
But beware as Lilla will get his revenge.....and there is always a forfeit to pay for revenge.
A sting in the trail will have to be overcome before the finish line.
