Lilla,s Revenge, 10-mile trail running event on the beautiful North York Moors National Park, along part of the iconic Lykewake long-distance FP visiting Lilla Howe which is home to Lilla Cross which dates back to the 7th century and is believed to be one of the oldest extant crosses on the Moors.

Lilla's Revenge is back for the fourth year. Taking place within the beautiful setting of The North York Moors presented by SilverBackTrails

Lilla’s Revenge…… is a 10-mile trail running event along part of the iconic Lykewake Walk long-distance FP visiting Lilla Howe which is home to the oldest cross on the Moors, Lilla Cross. Dating back to the 7th century commemorates the death of Lilla a thane to Edwin, King of what is now called Northumbria, Lilla sacrificed himself to save Edwin from an assassin who had been sent by Cwichelm son of Cyneglis King of Wessex.

You will also visit Louvern Howe which is believed to be a Neolithic/Bronze Age long barrow burial site, one of many scattered throughout the North York Moors which has been continually habitated for over 10,000 years.
