About the event


Back for the third year, Summits of the North York Moors Ultra is a foot race over a circular route of around 120 miles, taking in some of the highest hills within the North York Moors. The route passes ancient burial sites, medieval boundary stones, ancient crosses and Bronze Age earthworks. You will follow portions of the Cleveland Way, Esk Valley Walk and Lyke Wake Walk long distance paths. Your journey will be one filled with expansive views in all directions, over clearly defined tracks and trods that will keep you trotting as you ascend and descend the hills of the North York Moors, your constant companions from the first to the last mile.
